"Westcoast-AOR"! Im Falle der beiden Barden Fabrizio Ugolini und Massimo Bozzi kann die Selbst-Beschreibung nur bedeuten: "Adult Oriented Rock", wie er an der Adria-Küste praktiziert wird. Es sprengt durchaus nicht die Grenzen der Vorstellungskraft des Rezensenten, das Duo, das unter dem Namen Fab Box firmiert, vor dem inneren Auge an sonnenuntergangs-überfluteten Stränden dahinwandeln zu sehen - die beiden Akustischen umgeschnallt und stets eine zuckersüße Melodie auf den Lippen. Die Grenzen dessen, was die Etikette "Heavy" oder "Hard" trägt, auch wenn das Metal-Universum sich bekanntlich in unendliche Weiten erstreckt, überschreiten die Italiener jedoch....

Fab Box are formed by Fabrizio Ugolini, formerly member of the Italian 80´s hard rock band revenge, and Massimo Bozzi, whose credits as producer, arranger and musician include Italian pop stars as Mina, Audio 2, Lucio Dalla, Stadio e Biago Antonacci, and also two solo album published by EMI.
Sharing the same passion for the sounds of bands and artists like Toto, Journey, Bryan Adams, Richard Marx, made Fabrizio and Massimo to start writing songs together...

As real quality releases in the genre of soft AOR & Westcoast are quite rare it is with great pleasure that I introduce Fab Box to all the lovers of this more fluffy part of the music spectrum. Straight from Italy, no less. And hardly an quirky accent in sight.
Fab Box is Fabrizio Ugolini & Massimo Bozzi, the latter producer, arranger & musician for several Italian bands & artists. You may also know Fabrizio Grossi on bass who wrote songs for Joseph Williams & Danny Vaughn.
The result of this collaboration is not suprisingly an album full of very well-crafted songs with lush arrangements & multi-layered choruses to die for. So next to the Vaughn-recorded 'Always' & JosephWilliams' 'Together' we have 11 songs that go from glorious balladry to gently rockin' without going all economical on us when melodies are concerned. Sufficient enough to get us through the summer without too much accidents, we gather, here at casa KVK.
